Avocademy is a woman-owned, LGBTQ+-led startup. We value passion, creativity, connection, and inclusion. Through these ideals, we strive to create a positive impact for our students, our colleagues, and our industry.
We seek to help underrepresented groups learn essential UX/UI skills and land opportunities in the field. Our student and alumni body is 35% LGBTQ+, 75% racial minorities, and 80% women. We are honored and proud to be a woman-owned/run/creatively-led company, we have experienced in the past gender inequality in the workplace, so we’re working to ensure anyone can break into UX/UI for a more diverse and impactful industry.
In what ways other than gender equity do you think your company is making the world a better place?

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Our founder, Maca, decided to make her own UX/UI career pivot. Maca chose to learn UX/UI independently, and she quickly realized how challenging it is to gather these skills without guidance.
After building her own successful UX/UI career, Maca saw an opportunity to make the UX/UI field more diverse. She wanted to create an affordable and accessible platform to help others start their own UX/UI careers – and so, Avocademy was born.
